Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast Cancer Awareness month is a month to recognize breast cancer. We recognize how harmful it is, and those who have died from it. We also support those who have it and are surviving. We use this month to bring support to the research of a cure to breast cancer, or cancer in general.

In my photos, I try to envision both a serious side and a light side. Sending messages with facts that make us aware of how bad breast cancer really is, and also facts that give us hope. I use these to emphasize that we, as people, can overcome cancer and maybe one day rid of it.

In the process of this project, I learned how to include messages in my photos, as well as using props as symbolism and a medium to raise awareness to the message of the photo. I did particularly enjoy using the different backgrounds mixed with the props we had to make dramatic photos, as it requires you to be quite creative to produce good photos.
