Magazine Cover

The reason I choose that main headline, was because I thought it matched the picture well, you can't just have this random player on a cover and not have something about them. Well not usually, I would think. So the idea that Arvin was a new NBA player popped into my head, and I thought it was a good idea. I choose a sports magazine rather than something I would like, say, a gaming magazine, because I thought it would give Arvin an opportunity to express his ideas on this magazine. He did an ok job in the end. When it actually came to the photoshoot for the magazine cover, I didn't expect it to be so hard to come up with poses, it's caught me off guard how difficult it would be to come up with pose ideas that included a basketball. But we got all that we needed in the end, and that's what counts, right? I liked that I was able to pass the baton to Arvin and let him try to use his own ideas for once, it was simple yet it was enough. I think throughout this project, the positioning, the color, and the font of every sub title was crucially important. Learning how and where to put those titles is really what I learned how to do during this experience. So now I have that in my pocket.
